EDUCATIONAL MANAGER
Stella Zorpa
Stella has a long and established career as an English Language teacher in addition to extensive experience in training other teachers to teach English at all levels. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature, a MSc in Educational Leadership and is a PhD Candidate in Curriculum and Instruction. Stella founded SmartLearning in 2006 and has been teaching English there since then. She has also taught at state schools in Cyprus and has cooperated with private educational institutions and colleges both in Cyprus and Greece.
Moreover, she has been cooperating with the British Council Cyprus for over 15 years as both an English teacher, an IELTS trainer for teachers and is a member of the Pool of trainers of the British Council in Cyprus. Stella has participated in numerous seminars and conferences on diverse topics related to teaching and teacher training, including on new technologies, vocabulary and young learners, combining technology and materials to create effective lessons and motivate students, maximizing learning in the mixed-ability classroom.

Maria Theodorou
Maria graduated the European University in Cyprus in 2018 and holds a BSc in Computer Science. Maria has been working with our team since 2019 and teaches the ECDL courses. She has done research in Securing e-voting: essential considerations and also has CISCO certificates. Maria speaks Greek and English very fluently.
Economics
Maria Demetriou
Maria graduated the University of Cyprus in 2016 and holds a Bachelor degree in Economics. Maria has been working with our team since 2017 and teaches Accounting and Economics. She teaches high school students, preparing them not only for the Pancyprian exams but also for LCCI (Elementary, Intermediate, Higher). Maria’s students have been successfully passing their exams and achieve their entrance to universities in Cyprus and Greece. Lessons to adults are also offered for the LCCI exams.
English Language
Antonia Santi
Antonia Santi studied in New York and she holds a bachelor degree from the York College of City University. She has a teaching experience of 25 years. Over those 25 years of teaching, she attended a lot of seminars since she supports that a continuous improvement means that we never perceive current success as our final achievement. She has been a member of our team since 2012. She is a very generous teacher as she believes that a good teacher shares more than the facts, a good teacher shares values for a lifetime. The motto that reflects her 25 years of experience is that educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all. She is a person full of positive energy and observing her teaching you can realize that the acquisition of knowledge can be gained under a fun and friendly environment. Antonia speaks Greek and English fluently.

Rafael Tofa
Rafael is a graduate of the University of Cyprus and holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature. He has participated in the Erasmus+ Program during the Spring semester of his third year and has attended seminars and courses on English language teaching and student assessment, mainly in his senior year. He has been a member of our team since 2020. Being a novice teacher, he is energetic and ready to take on any future challenges, starting off with obtaining an M.A in EFL teaching. Rafael speaks Greek, English, and a little Italian.
